Bank statement and receipts in. Donor report out. Reconciled to the cent.

ReportFlow AI reads your bank statement photos and your receipts, matches them, sorts every payment into the columns your donor expects, and produces the Excel report. It refuses to call a report finished unless the numbers agree with the bank.

Built for small NGOs, churches and community projects that report to a sponsor every month or quarter.

How it works

Three steps, and a human stays in control of the one that needs judgement.

1

Upload

Photograph every page of the bank statement and your receipts with a phone. Or type the receipts into a simple list. Commercial Bank of Ethiopia statements are supported first; other banks follow the same pattern.

2

Check

Every statement row is verified against the running balance, so a misread digit cannot slip through. Receipts are matched to bank payments, including several receipts paid from one cash withdrawal. Each line lands in a category; anything uncertain is flagged for you to confirm with one click.

Why it can be trusted

Reading numbers with AI is easy. Knowing when it read them wrong is the hard part.

  • Each statement row must satisfy: previous balance minus debit plus credit equals printed balance. A row that fails is shown in red, never accepted.
  • Receipts are never forced onto a bank line. Unmatched receipts and unmatched payments are listed for you.
  • A split across categories must add up to the payment exactly, or the save is refused.
  • The closing balance in the report must equal the bank's closing balance, or the report is marked as not reconciled.
  • Pages photographed twice are detected; pages are ordered by their balances, not by file name.

It learns your fund

The first report teaches it. The next ones are mostly confirmation.

  • Import a report you made by hand and it learns which payee goes in which column.
  • Regular amounts, like a child's monthly support split between school fee and other support, are remembered as fixed splits.
  • Every confirmation in the check screen becomes a rule for next month.
  • Each fund has its own column layout, matching the template your donor already has.

Your data stays in your own workspace, protected by a password, and is used only to produce your reports.

Questions

Which banks and formats?

Commercial Bank of Ethiopia printed statements today, from phone photos or scans. Receipts can be photos (handwritten, Amharic or English) or a typed list in CSV or Excel. Other banks with a printed running balance work the same way; contact us to add yours.

Does it replace the bookkeeper?

No. It does the typing, arithmetic and matching. A person still confirms categories and decides what is right. The tool makes that person faster and catches the slips a tired eye misses.

What if a receipt is missing?

The bank payment appears in the report with the bank's own description and is listed under Review as "no receipt", so nothing is hidden from the donor and nothing is invented.
